HOW DID YOU AND DENNIS MEET?
Dennis is my cousin's childhood friend—shoutout to Tim! When my cousin and I switched places for college, I adopted his friend group. Dennis and I were friends for a long time before that fateful night when I opened the door, was able to see his face (he had just gotten a haircut), and knew he was the one I wanted.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE QUALITIES ABOUT HIM?
Other than his face, I love how Dennis is unafraid to voice a different point of view. I can always count on him to tell me his honest opinion. I also enjoy how Dennis can so easily see through me, whether it's noticing when I'm not REALLY okay or seeing the gears turning in my head.
Dennis is always the gentlemen and has a very calm and down-to-earth presence, while I am the opposite. He helps me stay grounded and in the present.
HOW DID DENNIS PROPOSE?
I was at the kitchen counter chatting about our plans for an upcoming wedding we were attending. Dennis, who was washing dishes, turned around and said, “Let’s get married!”
Not knowing that was his attempt at a proposal, I laughed at him before responding, “Yeah, we will!”
After some discussion and much laughter, Dennis graciously conceded to me—waiting until I felt we were were ready to take that next step.
…a couple years later..
We were sitting at the airport when I turned toward him and repeated back the words he once said to me, “Let’s get married—I’m ready!”
I am and will forever be grateful for his steadfast belief in us and his patience in me.

WHAT WERE YOUR FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF AMANDA?
Very pretty, very commanding, gets what she wants type of person.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE QUALITIES ABOUT HER?
Amanda is someone I can talk to about literally anything, and someone I know who will be there to lend an ear. She is supportive and caring, and has helped me through the countless bumps in life.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND INTERESTS?
Amanda and I have completely different hobbies. A lot of them we are able to be in the same area and be together physically and reach out to one another when we need. We're also able to show and teach each other about different avenues we wouldn't otherwise think to dabble in. With all that said, my latest interests have been cycling and pickleball. Gaming has also been a constant in my life since childhood, and am still an avid enjoyer of both tabletop and video games. And then there's coffee, from drip coffee to espresso, which is a hobby that has turned into a daily dependency.
